Favorite Local Restaurant: "Cafe Anello in Westwood. The Pasta is made in-house and it's amazing. Plus, the couple who own it are friends of mine"

Best Place For Groceries: "Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater. I could spend three hours in there."
What he would like his diners to know: "We do everything from scratch — stock, sauces, desserts. We don't buy anything ready-made. Also, there's a lot of thought and prep that goes into the food. A lot of the cooking starts two days before we send it out."
