Over 40 Restaurants Offering Deals For Hudson Restaurant Week

Hudson Restaurant Week is celebrating its 10th year with its winter season, which will run from Monday through Jan. 26.More than 40 restaurants in the Hudson County area will offer discounted meals, including prix-fixe lunch or dinner, for the event.This year, the event is even bigger, with participating eateries in Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken and Bayonne, plus Bergen County borough Edgewater’s HAVEN also joining in on the fun.Literally hundreds of dishes can be sampled during the two weeks for prices far below what restaurants normally charge.Menus are varied and many can be checked on the Internet before you venue out.Participating restaurants in Jersey City include Bistro La Source, Boca Grande, Box, Casa Dante, La Conguita, Edward’s Steakhouse, Fire and Oak, GP’s Restaurant, Hamilton Inn, HopsScotch, Liberty House Restaurant, Light Horse Tavern, Maritime Parc, Max’s of Manila, The Merchant, PJ Ryan’s, Porto Lounge, Satis Bistro, Skylark on the Hudson and Sky Thai.Hoboken restaurants include 3 Forty Grill, Amanda’s, Arthur’s Tavern, The Brass Rail, The Clinton Social, Court Street Tavern, Dino and Harry’s, The Fig Tree, The Madison, Marty O’Brien Social Club, Cafe Matt and Meera, The Stewed Cow, Sushi Lounge, Trinity and Zylo.Also offering deals are Chart House, Molos and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Weehawken as well as GoodFella’s Brick Over Pizza and McLoone’s Bayonne Grill in Bayonne.Restaurant Week diners can enjoy a diverse range of cuisines including American, Mexican, Thai, Italian, Cuban, Indian, Filipino, Irish-American, Portuguese, modern European and Japanese. Establishments also range from fine dining establishments and steakhouses to casual bars and pizzerias.Some of the restaurants have prix-fixe meals with set prices. Lunch generally ranges from $13 to $18 per person, and dinner is usually $25 to $38. Pricing and participating days vary by restaurant and prices do not include tax, tip and drinks.Many of the eateries give diners plenty of flexibility in choosing their tasty treats.For example, Bistro La Source in Jersey City lets you pick two of 16 different items, from Belgian endive and Asian pear salad to chicken liver and foie gras mousse for $15 and also offers two courses plus dessert for their $25 dinner deal.3 Forty Grill in Hoboken gives you your pick of two courses for their $18 lunch (perhaps try a seven leaf salad followed by their 3 Forty Burger, or have Mediterranean bruschetta and grilled vegetable pita).The newly opened Molos in Weehawken has tons of classic Greek treats like spanakopita as well as seafood favorites for their $38 dinner, and The Merchant in Jersey City lets you choose any two items from their regular menu for their $15 lunch, and any three for their $25 dinner.As a bonus, 25 restaurants are also offering discount meals for Super Week from Jan. 27 through Feb. 2, to celebrate the Super Bowl being held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford and to show hungry football fans coming from all over the country what New Jersey restaurants have to offer.Check out our list of the Hudson Restaurant Week participants, with pricing and contact information.The list is subject to change.
