You swore this was the year you’d get in shape, but somewhere between good intentions and your best laid plans, working on your fitness has fallen by the wayside. No more excuses! To help you get back on track—and tone up that bod—we’re hooking you up with a FREE week of fitness at some of the area’s best gyms and workout studios. (valid for new clients only, must present this email upon booking, booking subject to availability, offer expires March 15th, 2015)

Since the Englewood outpost of NYC-based Flywheel opened in February 2013, with their modern, plugged-in, studios, hip, buff, motivating instructors and heart pumping spin and barre classes we’ve certainly had our share of sweaty sessions in their studios. Now’s your chance to take their classes for a whirl. (Flywheel Englewood, 25 S. Van Brundt St, Englewood, Englewood Studio only, will honor new clients of either flywheel or flybarre, emailadeline@flywheelsports.com to sign up!)

Equinox Paramus: Equinox’s 30,000 square foot Bergen location lured us in with their signature kick-butt classes, sleek facilities, a spa, cafe, retail and childcare. Yes, we’ve been there and loved it. So if you haven’t tried it yet, now is your perfect opportunity to spend a morning (or 7). (Equinox Paramus, 776 Rt. 17 N., Paramus, 201.518.7999)

Rise Fitness With a packed schedule of unique classes including their signature Performance Training- a combo of cardio, strength training, and yoga and Power Half Hour: a half hour sweat sesh created with time pressed mamas in mind, Rise has got a lot to offer. But the real draw here is owner Rob Jaroszuk’s coaching, which creates a community-based approach to fitness that makes clients feel they’ve got a whole team behind them. (Rise Fitness, 22 Hollywood Ave, Ho-Ho-Kus, 201 741 5692)

Jumping Frog: A Center for FitnessThe warm and inviting pilates studio quietly acquired the Metro Fitness space over the last few months and is building out what is sure to be a high-end, luxe, full on “fitness center”. Devoted “Frogs” can still find their favorite pilates instructors on site, but will now get access to a roster of Boot Camps, Yoga and Interval Running Classes, taught by rockstar instructors, for back to back (to back) fitness with the same “no judgements” vibe. (Jumping Frog Studios, 145 Piermont Ave, Tenafly, (201) 266-6989)

Fit 4 MomYou know those packs of mamas: red-faced, babies in strollers or bouncing on hips, getting their pre-baby glow back? Yup, you’ve probably bumped into a Fit 4 Mom class at one of their meet up spots (GSP, The Shops at Riverside and Ridgewood Duckpond to name a few).  Whether you’re looking to lose babyweight or just tone with a kid in tow, their classes are fun and effective- plus, no one’s going to give you the evil eye when your kid starts wailing. (Various locations throughout Bergen, check website for current schedule, 800-972-8994)

CrossFit Giant This fully equipped studio, will challenge you with high-energy, intense workouts that change daily. In addition to their Cross Fit WOD, classes range from Olympic Weightlifting to Crossfit Lite to Gymnastics plus Cross Fit classes for kids, allowing you (and your teen) to find the perfect class that fits with your own fitness level. Their small size classes allows the staff to help you achieve your personal goal while still challenging your entire body. CrossFit Giant’s newest location in Englewood also offers daycare so while your little one is entertained, you can enjoy breaking a sweat. (CrossFit Giant, 250 S Van Brunt St., Englewood and 115 River Rd., Edgewater, 201.212.3258)
